Custom courses are for learners who want sentence practice around a class, trip, exam topic, workplace need, or personal material.
When to create a course
Create a course when built-in material is close but not specific enough. Good custom topics include travel phrases, class vocabulary, HSK weak areas, work conversations, or family phrases.
Basic workflow
- Choose a clear topic.
- Add or generate sentence material.
- Keep lessons short enough to finish.
- Practice the course in Guided or Watch Mode.
- Use Review to keep missed custom sentences active.
Import your own materials
Imported material works best when it can become short, useful sentences. Avoid turning a large block of text into one lesson; break it into smaller learning units.
Do not make the first custom course too broad. A focused topic creates better practice and clearer Review.
