Courses

Choose a course before you choose a mode.

Courses decide what you practice. Modes decide how you practice it. Start with a short course path, then reuse the same lessons across Guided, Watch, Dictation, Read-Along, Speak, Review, and Progress.

Choose your first course

Best first choice: a Beginner course if you are new, an HSK course if you are following an exam path, or a custom course when you already have material you care about.

Beginner course

The beginner path is for learners who need the sentence loop to feel clear before the content becomes long. Use Watch Mode for a sentence you do not understand, then use Guided Mode to type it yourself.

Tip

Keep early sessions short. One understood sentence is better than ten guessed sentences.

HSK 1-6 courses

HSK courses are useful when your goal is level-based vocabulary and structure. Use the same lesson in multiple modes: Watch for explanation, Guided for recall, Dictation for listening, and Review for missed content.

Course structure

A course contains lessons. A lesson contains sentences. A sentence can carry meaning, Mandarin audio, Pinyin input, Review signals, and progress history.

Lessons

Small practice units that keep a topic focused.

Sentences

The core material you hear, understand, type, review, and speak.

Modes

Different ways to train the same content without losing context.

Progress

Signals that help you see what changed after practice.

Lessons and sentences

Use a lesson when you want a focused session. Use Review when the lesson has already created Mistakes, New items, or Mastered content.

Custom AI courses

Custom courses are for personal goals: a class unit, a trip, a topic, or material you want to turn into sentence practice. Pro gives more room for custom course creation and longer-term use.
